The NPAO is pleased to present its first ever Virtual Conference on Advancing Excellence in Transgender Health being held on Thursday, March 4, 2021.  This conference was developed in response to the high volume of queries from Nurse Practitioners seeking to learn more about providing high-quality care for children, adolescents and adults and who are questioning their gender identity or who identify as transgender or non-binary.

The sessions being presented are grounded in research, evidence and best clinical practices.  Gender Diverse individuals are often made to feel unwelcome in medical settings, if not completely cut off from care.  The aim of this conference is to bridge this gap and provide information and resources to better equip Nurse Practitioners providing care to this population.

The highlight of the conference is hearing the patient perspective.  Patient stories offer valuable insights and have the power to inspire and humanize the work of health care providers.

CANCELLATIONS / SUBSTITUTIONS

Requests to cancel a registration must be sent in writing to Vanessa Mooney at vmooney@npao.org by Thursday, February 28, 2021. Refunds will not be issued after this date, or for conference “no-shows”.

Substitutions can be made without penalty until Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
