Red Flags for Eyes and Diabetic Eye Examinations

September 9 @ 12:00 pm 1:00 pm

Join us as we discuss the most common ocular conditions you will see while practicing.  We will review what signs and symptoms to look out for.  Revisit how to manage these ocular conditions.   Finally discuss when to refer them to an eye care professional and how urgent the referral should be.

We will also review diabetic eye health.  What testing is involved in a diabetic eye exam and how often they should be performed on patients.

Speaker: Dr. Michael Yee, Optometrist

Dr. Yee, born in Guelph, ON, has been practicing optometry at his own clinic in Guelph for almost 11 years.  He obtained his Optometry Degree from the University of Waterloo in 2008.  He completed his ocular disease and therapeutic rotation at the VA medical center in Detroit, MI.  Dr. Yee has also trained with optometrists in Vancouver, BC during his four years of study at the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry.

After working throughout Kitchener and Guelph as an associate Optometrist for six years, Dr. Yee opened his own practice offering comprehensive eye exams with retinal imaging, visual field testing and Optical Coherence Tomography.
