Progestin-only Contraception – Overview and update on a new approved option

A discussion around the current challenges and potential new options in hormonal oral contraception: is estrogen necessary? We are going to summarize the clinical trials in adults and adolescents including an overview of efficacy and safety profiles of the new approved progesterone only oral contraceptive. We also want to share with you our strategy on how to offer this new option to patients, and see what your thoughts are!
Objectives:
- Review important concepts in contraception.
- Review clinical studies of drospirenone 4mg (Slynd)
- Addressing current contraceptive challenges
