Position Title: Volunteer Planning Committee Member
Location: Virtual Meetings + In-person support during the conference
Time Commitment: 2-5 hours monthly + 3 days during the conference
Reports To: Manager, Events & Education
Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to volunteer in the Planning Committee for our upcoming 2025 Annual Conference. This event is the biggest NP conference in Canada, and brings together professionals and enthusiasts from the healthcare and health tech industry globally to network, share knowledge, and inspire one another. As a committee member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the conference experience for attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with committee members to develop and execute the conference program and logistics.
- Assist in identifying and securing speakers, panelists, and workshop facilitators.
- Help coordinate event logistics, including venue setup, registration, and materials preparation.
- Engage in outreach to potential sponsors, exhibitors, and participants to enhance conference offerings.
- Participate in regular planning meetings, contributing ideas and feedback on all aspects of the event.
- Support marketing efforts by promoting the conference through personal and professional networks.
- Be available to assist on the day(s) of the conference with setup, registration, and other on-site tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- NPAO membership is required
- Passion for healthcare, NP practice and interest in event planning.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience with event planning or volunteering is a plus, but not required.
