Prenatal Genetic Screening in Ontario

1. Compare the timing, components and performance of the different prenatal screening modalities in Ontario
2. Identify which prenatal screening tests to offer depending on clinical circumstances
3. Outline the temporary prenatal screening guidelines implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic
Presenter: Ioana Miron
Biography: Ioana Miron is a genetic counsellor with Prenatal Screening Ontario, where she is responsible for developing and implementing educational initiatives related to prenatal genetic screening. She joined the Prenatal Screening Ontario team in March of this year. Before this role, she had practiced as a clinical genetic counsellor for almost 10 years in the Prenatal Diagnosis and Medical Genetics Program at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. Ioana holds a Master of Science in genetic counselling and a Master of Science in the area of cell signaling research, both from University of Toronto. She obtained her certification through the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CAGC) and the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC).
