Speaker Bio: Abigail (Abi) Chow is a Primary care Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in women’s health. She has worked at various healthcare and post-secondary educational organizations, fulfilling roles as a staff nurse, operating room educator, and clinical instructor. She began her career in Labour and Delivery at North York General Hospital, where she worked for 13 years. During this time, she gained a deep understanding of the complexities of the birthing process, and developed a reputation for providing compassionate care to her patients and their families. Abi’s dedication to her patients and her field of study eventually led her to pursue her certification as a Nurse Practitioner. After obtaining her credentials, she was recruited to work in private practice with OBGYNs in the Greater Toronto Area. She also worked at the High Risk Clinic at Credit Valley Hospital, where she provided comprehensive care to pregnant women with high-risk pregnancies. Abi is an expert in the field of women’s health, and is committed to helping her patients make informed decisions about their health and providing them with the best care possible in both hospital and private practice settings. Abi joined LifeLabs in 2021, and took a lead role in supporting the clinical team with the covid portfolio. She is known for her patient-centered approach, and her willingness to go above and beyond for her patients.
