Simplified Screening for Hepatitis C and its Role in HCV Elimination

Objectives:
– Role of simplified screening tools in elimination of Hepatitis C;
– Patient settings that benefit from simplified Hepatitis C screening tools;
– Examples of successful implementation of simplified Hepatitis C screening tools in Ontario.
– How to receive training on and access to simplified Hepatits C screening tools through the Ontario Viral Hepatitis Care Network.
Speaker:
Camelia Capraru received her Medical degree from University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iasi, Romania. In 2006, Camelia joined Liver Clinic team at Toronto Western Hospital as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator. She was highly involved in assessing, teaching and managing HCV patients recruited to clinical trials of investigational agents used for the treatment of hepatitis C.
Camelia is currently a Clinical Research Manager at the Toronto Centre for Liver Disease, UHN and she also serves as Managing Director of VIRCAN.
