Pediatric Headaches Treatment Algorithm and General Approach

Learning Objectives:

  • Outline a treatment algorithm for children suffering from migraine​
  • General approach to the most common pediatric headache types seen in the community
  • the future of migraine treatment – some exciting developments

Speaker:

NP Pamela Fellbaum graduated from McMaster University BscN program in 2003. She has worked in a variety of settings as an RN including inpatient psychiatry, long term care and community care. She graduated from the NP program at McMaster University in 2017 where she then spent 6 years working in primary care. She has recently joined the growing group of Nurse Practitioners at the Childrens’ Hospital of Eastern Ontario where she works in the outpatient headache clinic supporting adolescents between the ages of 7-18 who suffer from headache disorders. This includes running the Botox clinic. In her spare time she enjoys being a hockey goalie, watching her kids play hockey and spending time outside with her family and dog.
