Health Quality Ontario has posted a health technology assessment with a recommendation on Internet-Delivered Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Major Depression and Anxiety Disorders.

Based on our findings, the following recommendation is being made:

Health Quality Ontario, under the guidance of the Ontario Health Technology Advisory Committee, recommends publicly funding guided internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy for mild to moderate major depression and anxiety disorders.

A draft recommendation was posted on our website in October. All feedback received was considered before this recommendation was made.

This recommendation has been approved by Health Quality Ontario’s board of directors and shared with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, in keeping with our responsibilities as described in the Excellent Care for All Act.
